tagged again
Okay, I’d never been tagged before in my life until a few days ago. And since Ali tagged me first, I just didn’t see it, I think it’s only right to do her meme as well. Last one, I promise.
Ten things about me
1. As a child, I had a crush on Davy Jones and Herman Munster. Yeah. Herman Munster. I blame it on being born on Halloween. P.S. Had no idea Davy Jones was like 40 at the time. I thought The Monkees was a current show. Thanks, Nickelodeon.
2. The songs I wrote as a child still get stuck in my head sometimes. Super annoying.
3. My number one fear as a child was that the boy I liked would find out. I would lay awake nights worrying about this. You could say I had an easy childhood.
4. Although I have a fairly sophisticated palate and have dined in some of the best restaurants, my perfect meal would still involve french fries, mac and cheese, and cupcakes.
5. I like my feet. Pretty sure I could be a foot model. As long as they shot below the ankles.
6. I can make my stomach growl.
7. I’ve always been fascinated with nostalgia. I read historical fiction, went to museums, and I even used to watch the Ken Burns’ “Civil War” documentary for fun after school. Nerd alert.
8. I married my polar opposite.
9. I wrote my first novel at 11 or 12. It was historical fiction. Surprise, surprise.
10. My dream is to see something I wrote made into a film. I think I’m close.

As a kiddling, I wrote a song called “There’s a storm a’comin’ to Red Cross Village.” Just… don’t. even. ask. (What I was going to say being: “Heh, that gets stuck in my head sometimes.”)

Davy Jones *was* hot. Oddly enough, I totally see the Herman Munster thing. My embarrasing confession is that I had a crush on Alvin from Alvin & The Chipmunks.

Ali - That sounds a little higher level than my songs.
Maria - I think you’re my long-lost, younger, red-headed twin. I had a crush on Alvin too.

Ha! Herman Munster rocks, he is “the” man.
