dogs
I’ve always tried not to be one of those people who talks about their pets all the time. Unfortunately, I have caught myself doing this lately since they are my only roommates at the moment. And, although I know it’s not considered proper etiquette, when people start bringing up their kids, it’s difficult not to bring up Scratch and Sniff. I have to contribute to the conversation somehow, and I don’t have kids of my own. Plus, the dogs pretty much do the same thing. They want your undivided attention, they have big personalities, they bicker, and they like to eat and poop. But before you think I’m completely lame, let me say that I don’t dress my dogs in sweaters and they’re too big to fit into a Louis Vuitton dog carrier.
Seriously, though. How could you not talk about these faces?

I do the same thing. I think it makes it better because I know I’m doing it. But I have a sneaking suspicion the parent’s I talk to don’t agree. And I do put my dogs in sweaters. They get COLD. Your guys look furry enough to hold their own against the elements. And I bet they’re at least as cute as your friends’ kids.

I didn’t grow up a dog person, but I am one now. We got our little Maggie about a year ago, and Having my own sweet little baby-facers made me fall in love with everyone else’s dogs too! They’re all precious, every single one! (Except for the pit bull that just moved in next door to me, but I digress.)

Megan: I will say that some dogs (i.e. chihuahuas) do get rather cold, so I could see the need for a sweater. But if I were to try to dress my dogs, they would probably get mad and go pee on my favorite pair of shoes.
Katy: I love dogs, but I don’t trust pit bulls AT ALL. They’ll act like your BFF for 15 years…right up until they bite your face off.

You’re allowed to talk about dogs all the time. Cats? no. Dogs yes.

Hahaha I always feel the urge to bring up my dog Pinky into a conversation with my friends who are Moms now, but I always feel too guilty to do it… I think they´ll think I’m weird, which I am but, well I try to fit in as much as I can. I loved this blog! By the way your dogs are so cute, and tonguey!!!

When Scratch and Sniff start their own blog, then you know you’ve gone too far. Meet Isabella…
(And I HAVE a child. The dog is still more fun to talk about.)

Tootsie: I like (most) cats, but they just aren’t that interesting. Dogs are flat out entertaining.
Mel: Thank you! I think they’re cute and tonguey too. Especially Sniff. You’re weird in a cool rock star kind of way. I think that’s necessary since you’re a rock star
Yvette: LOL! That’s hilarious! I thought I was going too far when I put them on Dogbook. I don’t know if they would have enough to say to take up a whole blog!

Gorgeous! I want to reach through the screen and rub my nose on the top of their heads!
